Custom Programmer
The Programmer will work in the Professional Services team for the POS and retail management software product line. The Programmer will support the custom work provided by the team. The product is built in Delphi and works on an Oracle database. The position is responsible for analyzing customization requests and providing accurate cost and time estimates. The Programmer will then develop, test and deliver the customization within the cost and timeframe provided.
The position requires a candidate with Delphi, VB, .NET, and COM programming skills. You will need to have an understanding of general API methods, plug-in concepts (including the use of COM interfaces and OOP), and should bring retail POS technical experience to the role.
Essential Requirements
- Requires a bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field AND 2-3 years of Delphi programming experience.
- Experience with advanced SQL.
- Demonstrated proficiency in the use of the English language to communicate complex technical information in a clear and concise manner.
- Must work well in a team-oriented atmosphere.

Sales Assistant (part time, temporary)
A part-time, temporary position is available in the Sales team. You will undertake research to confirm accurate contact details of our clients. You will need to have a pleasant phone manner and be well organized to that you may contact our clients and confirm their contact details. You will be responsible for maintenance of the database and must ensure accuracy on this process. Through contact with the client you may receive additional information or feedback, which you will need to relay to the appropriate person within Retail Pro for resolution.
You will operate effectively under limited direct supervision and will be assigned a mentor to guide you through your work commitments. You will require excellent communication skills. You will work closely with the sales team so this is an excellent opportunity for you to participate in the sales process and for you to compliment your educational background in business or related studies, with experience in the field. This is a part-time position and we will work with you to offer a schedule that will suit your other commitments.

VAR Recruitment Manager
The VAR Recruitment Manager is responsible for increasing the number of successful Retail Pro dealers, known as Value Added Resellers or as Business Partners (BPs), in the territory. The Manager is responsible for targeting key geographies within the territory and executing a strategy to increase sales of Retail Pro. The Manager will identify potential BPs, and through the recruitment process will qualify their ability and commitment to deliver and support the Retail Pro solution. Critical to this role, the Manager will focus on cultivating and building a business relationship with the BPs to ensure their success. He/she will be responsible to “launch” the new BP to get them market-ready and revenue-generating as soon as practical. The Manager will stay involved with the new BP until certain milestones are achieved and they are transitioned to the Channel Management team for ongoing support.
The Manager will touch all aspects of Retail Pro to ensure the BPs have the resources and support available to sustain their success. Depending on the country of the BP, the Manager will play a role in ensuring that sales and marketing tools are available or translated into the local language and that the product meets country localization requirements. Tools and resources are available to assist the Manager.
Essential Functions
- Research the territory to identify potential Business Partners with proper business profile
- Contact, qualify, and recruit the new BPs with a personalized go-to-market strategy
- Assist in the "launch" of their Retail Pro initiative all staff are trained and equipped appropriately
Utilize existing tools and infrastructure to support the new partners and localize material as required.

Software Configuration Management (SCM) Engineer - Folsom, Technology
Our Folsom office is looking for a talented SCM Engineer to design and build a next-generation SCM system, implement and enforce change management practices, and ensure that our increasingly frequent builds and more complex products are built and deployed correctly. Retail Pro is a scalable client/server desktop product built on Oracle. Companion add-on products are web-based.
As part of our team, you will:
- Apply a fresh approach and select, design, implement, and operate our new source control and build system
- Apply SCM best practices to our development team, mentor engineers in those practices, and then enforce them
- Administer and support our source control system
- Develop tools to support our engineering organization
- Set up each new project properly
- Document our build processes
- Provide build and code change / churn metrics

Technical Account Manager - Technical Support - Folsom
The Technical Account Manager serves as the primary escalation point for our Enterprise class customers and partners within Global Support Services. You will help debug, quantify and test issues escalated by our customers and partners for the complete Retail Pro product family. The TAM will perform initial or secondary investigation and respond to both online and phone support requests made by partner or strategic customer engineering organizations, and will work with partners to proactively identify and prevent joint customer issues. Being a vital part of the Global Customer Support team involves working on highly complex systems and providing general technology support services for major accounts, ensuring overall customer satisfaction and total resolution of each service case. Using your technical background you will gain an understanding of our customer’s technical infrastructure and environment, hardware, and/or product(s).
The Technical Account Manager will assume a leadership role in providing technical direction to customers, potential customers, and internal staff in the problem resolutions of fully integrated Retail Pro solutions. By collaborating and interfacing with customers, senior management and engineers you will assess major system problems, business operations and address product/service needs. The TAM is responsible for analysis and providing systems solutions for applications software problems, and will perform system level troubleshooting and root cause analysis.
Essential Functions:
- Manage the global technical support provided to our clients and develop relationships.
- Drive the resolution of cases reported to Technical Support through the definition and diagnosis of the issue and application of technical expertise, product knowledge, communication and problem solving skills.
- Manage multiple projects and provide leadership to others in the problem resolutions of fully integrated Retail Pro solutions.
