Both the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and the United Nations anticipate that the next few years will bring growth. According to PricewaterhouseCoopers&#039; (PwC\u200b)&nbsp;17th Annual Global CEO Survey, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.pwc.com\/gx\/en\/ceo-survey\/2014\/key-findings\/confidence-economic-outlook.jhtml\" target=\"_blank\">business leaders are optimistic about the coming year<\/a> and plan to use <a href=\"https:\/\/www.retailpro.com\/Solutions\" target=\"_self\" class=\"dnautolink\">retail technology<\/a> to help bolster a period of expansion.<\/p>\n<p>The survey found that despite worries about over-regulation and deficits, CEOs are more optimistic about the global economy and their business&nbsp;prospects than they were last year. This means that they can turn their attention toward growth&nbsp;and gaining a competitive edge, instead of fortifying a survival strategy.<\/p>\n<p>Business leaders expect the U.S., German, U.K., and emerging markets to provide the greatest opportunities, the report said, rather than BRIC countries (Brazil, Russia, India and China)&nbsp;which were a focus in previous years. Their strategy for making the most of more positive economic conditions has a strong technological component &#8211; 81 percent of CEOs believe that <a href=\"http:\/\/businesstoday.intoday.in\/story\/global-ceos-more-optimistic-of-economic-recovery-now-pwc-survey\/1\/202585.html\" target=\"_blank\">technological advancements will play a strong role in their future success<\/a>, Business Today indicated.<\/p>\n<p>Business Standard reported that, according to a recent Tata Consultancy Services study, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.business-standard.com\/article\/companies\/tcs-study-shows-global-retail-cios-preparing-to-lead-innovation-114012201139_1.html\" target=\"_blank\">CIOs want to capitalize on the positive economic conditions<\/a> with multichannel integration, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.retailpro.com\/Solutions\" target=\"_self\" class=\"dnautolink\">ecommerce software<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.retailpro.com\/Solutions\" target=\"_self\" class=\"dnautolink\">retail business intelligence<\/a>.
