Some of the more significant additions are noted below.\u00a0Contact your Retail Pro Business Partner today for more details and to see if your business is ready for Retail Pro Prism\u00ae.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><strong>Keep track of all your inventory<\/strong><br \/>\nRetail Pro Prism now includes a new Physical Inventory (PI) area so you can take regular, physical counts of your\u00a0merchandise on a macro level in the store or warehouse, or on a smaller scale within a single bin or shelf.<\/p>\n<p>Prism PI Capabilities:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Start a physical inventory files for any location<\/li>\n<li>Record physical counts information to a physical inventory file already in process by scanning barcodes or manually typing item identifiers<\/li>\n<li>Import counts with\u00a0a file (fixed-length or delimited)<\/li>\n<li>Read current on-hand values from inventory and write those values to the physical inventory file as the start quantities<\/li>\n<li>For easier review, a separate discrepancy display lists all items whose physical counts do not equal the starting values<\/li>\n<li>Print physical inventory information<\/li>\n<li>Send PI sheets to Retail Pro 9 for updating<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Increase efficiency at the POS<\/strong><br \/>\nThis release includes a new Options button that increases efficiency through\u00a0easier access to most common POS tasks, including:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Transaction Lookup<\/li>\n<li>Pending Transactions<\/li>\n<li>Customer Lookup<\/li>\n<li>Gift Card Balance check (if use of EFT or central gift cards is enabled)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Look up customer details &#8211; securely<\/strong><br \/>\nCustomer area continues to be the focus as consumer-centric initiatives drive store processes.
