It can be pure fun with little or no practicality.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Luxury shoppers tend to&nbsp;make a purchase to make themselves or others feel good, rather than because they require the item.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Their purchases can be&nbsp;impulsive or for gift-giving; a Deloitte study found that <a href=\"https:\/\/www2.deloitte.com\/content\/dam\/Deloitte\/uk\/Documents\/consumer-business\/deloitte-uk-young-luxury-shopper-2017.pdf\">20.5% of millennials<\/a> bought a high-end item for a particular occasion and 18.5% bought one as a \u201ctreat.\u201d&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Take the Louis Vuitton skate shoe for instance \u2013 or the diamond and ruby studded Victoria\u2019s Secret bra. How could any data support creating such items?
